Speaker: Cindy Spann, MIS, RHIA, CHPS, CCS, CCS-P, FAHIMA is Executive Director of Health Information Management at Community Health Network in Indianapolis, IN.  Cindy has a Master’s degree in Information Science from Indiana University School of Library and Information Science as well as a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Administration from Indiana University School of Medicine. Cindy has over 20 years of experience in health information management including coding, clinical documentation improvement, information systems, electronic medical records, decision support, and data integrity. She is currently a member of AHIMA, IHIMA, SIHIMA, and Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association.  She thoroughly enjoys using Lean and Six Sigma tools to improve processes for efficiency.  She is passionate about employee engagement and understands the results highly engaged teams produce. She recently was awarded the designation of FAHIMA (Fellow of the American Health Information Management Association).
