Speaker: Wendy Mangin, MS, RHIA, CHC is currently the Director of Corporate Compliance at Good Samaritan in Vincennes, IN.  She served as the Director of Health Information and HIPAA Privacy Officer for 41 year.  She was then appointed in 2014 as the Executive Project Leader for her hospital’s transition to a new EMR.  In 2016, she was asked to be responsible for Regulatory Compliance.  In January 2020, she transitioned into the Corporate Compliance role, with responsibility for corporate compliance, privacy and regulatory compliance.  She served six years as a member of the Board of Directors of AHIMA and served as President in 2008.  She served on AHIMA’s Privacy & Security Practice Council and has chaired AHIMA’s Nominating Committee, Council on Certification and the RHIA Construction Committee.  Wendy has served on AHIMA’s Foundation Board and the Legislative Committee.  Wendy is currently on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Security and Privacy Network, and has previously served as the Board Chair. She received the Distinguished Member Award from IHIMA in 2000 and 2006.  Wendy currently serves on the IHA Council on Information Management and the Vincennes University HIT Program Advisory Council.
