Speaker: Bob Davis, BS, Chief Data Officer, joined the Indiana Department of Health as their inaugural chief data officer on September 28, 2020.  He had previously served as the Director of Clinical Data Management within the Department of Biostatistics, Indiana University School of Medicine, in which his role enabled him to collaborate with researchers and physicians throughout the academic medical research community including Indiana University Health, Eskenazi Health, Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, Regenstrief Institute, and the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, and Public Health.  Bob was instrumental in several data management related initiatives not only in his capacity within the Department of Biostatistics, but also as a member of the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI).  Prior to IU, Bob had roles within Pfizer’s Global Research & Development organization based in Groton, CT, and within DowElanco which was based in Indianapolis, IN.  He earned his bachelor of science degree in Computer Science from Purdue University.  Bob and his wife have three children and three grandchildren.
