Description: The Information Blocking Law and Regulations represents a paradigm shift in the use, access and disclosure of patient health information. Many past practices in health information management need to be reevaluated and modified or risk being in violation of the Information Blocking Law. This session will explore the fundamentals of Information Blocking Law compliance and explore traps for the unwary.

  • what information and whose requests are the subject of the Information Blocking Law
  • how the Information Blocking Law will be enforced and how you should respond to any complaints or investigations
