Participants will learn about the different project management models, project management documentation, the differences between projects, and operations. They will also learn about the project management process (Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring, and Controlling and Closing.)

Speaker: Nicole Van Andel, MS RHIA CHPS, CHDA CDIP, is a lecturer at Indiana University's Health Information Management Program. She also coordinates practicums for HIM students and medical coding/billing certificate students. She has her bachelor’s degree in HIM and her Master’s Degree in Adult Education, both from Indiana University. She has served in various roles in IHIMA, including President (twice). She is currently serving as CCHIIM Commissioner.
